Narrative Short
Weasel· Festival Submissions in Progress
In a remote rural village, nine-year-old Lina lives with her aging adoptive grandparents, clinging to the fragile sense of belonging they provide. When the family takes in an abandoned baby boy, Lina becomes convinced that he is a weasel spirit sent to replace her. As fear, jealousy, and local folklore begin to consume her, Lina is driven toward a desperate act that blurs the line between protection and violence. Caught between imagination and reality, she must confront what she is willing to do to hold on to love.
